Dining Room
Landon proposed opening up the kitchen to the view in two ways:
1) Remove the soffit and wall between it and the dining room.
2) Shift the dining room into the unused floor space between the existing dining room and living room.
Making Room
With the dining room floor space now available, the kitchen could rotate 90-degrees and gain an island.

Counter Space
To create additional counterspace, counters are both longer and deeper (30″-deep).
